Link (The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker)

why link?: I was assistant manager of a Gamestop and I thought it would be cool to get my store excited about the Zelda launch. So I made 3 Link costumes and forced the entire staff to wear them. It was a big success! We all wore name badges that said "Link" and identified ourselves as "Zelda" every time we answered the phone. I even got reimbursed by Gamestop for this stint. Hell yea.
con notes: Several customers asked us if we were being paid by Nintendo. I found that amusing. Yes, the sign in the background of the pictures says "Buy Legend of Zelda or Die!"
construction: These were very last minute. It's cheap Walmart green cotton for the tunics and hats. Then I used some scraps left over from the Sprite costume for the sleeves and neckline. The belts are felt with yellow craft foam that I drew on with permanent marker. Ok, these aren't exactly complex but I love embarassing my coworkers.
