Ramza Beoulve (Final Fantasy Tactics)

why ramza?: Er, I don't like Tactics much. I never finished it. It is a micromanagement nightmare. Bleh! I want Shining Force!!! However, Ramza is totally cute and sorta confused. And random. Yay for random ideas. I also discovered that I had enough leftover fabric from other stuff to create this. His first outfit (chapter one) is totally adorable. He should never have cut his hair. And, THE BANG!!! THE BANG IS SO CUTE!
On August 3, 2002, I finally beat Tactics. For the record, it's not quite as bad as I remembered. I TOTALLY love Ramza. Funny how I made this costume and only later fell in love with him. I am so happy. Hehe.
con notes: I got my picture taken with WHITE MAGES!!!! *dies of joy* There is nothing better than white mages. People even sorta knew who I was... sorta. Although, when I went to the massive FF group picture at Otakon, I was the *only* Tactics character. XD But then at Katsucon, we had a mega huge Tactics group, organized by the fantastic Jibrille! She rules a lot!
construction: I bought the wig for this. I styled it, although the bang fell a couple times. The rest is completely made of fabric scraps I had lying around. The tunic is made from a failure Billy jacket. The whole outfit is a mishmash of cotton, fleece, stretchy stuff, and felt. I was a bit warm since the tunic was fleece. I had to handsew the brown trim on the sleeves since my machine didn't like the material I was using. I sewed in two pairs of shoulder pads to make the sleeves poofy enough. I used my happy thigh high leather boots with cheap cotton boot covers. The cuffs are felt and were so heavy I had to pin them to my pants. The pants are actually my workout spandex pants. ^^; I used my own brown winter gloves. Lauren gave me a fencing-type foil to use. I have to make the knee pads and cape someday, maybe.
