Thief (Ragnarok Online)

why thief?: I used to be obsessive about RO. Go look at my priestess. Uh, I made a female thief once but deleted her as soon as she became assassin because she was so much cuter as a thief that I found the job change demotivational. So yea. Thieves are cute and I already had daggers from my Zidane costume. I think the idea of puffy pants attracted me to the design. I love puffy pants.
con notes: Nobody had any idea what I was! But I was cute, so I didn't care. I know thieves don't get two daggers. I don't care. Bite me.
construction: Actually I made the jacket, which is actually a slightly modified shrug, out of some super soft suede material sometime in early 2004, but didn't think about the costume for another year. It's lined with some soft brown material which is also used for the patches, and I added my own interpretation of the designs on the jacket with brown upholstery braid. The rest of the costume was incredibly simple and put together on Friday morning of the convention.. I used the shirt from Tifa and added two red ribbons. The pants are the same design as my Elena (from Grandia, which I will one day finish) pants and I used felt for the patches. The shoes were my house slipper booties, which I glued some white fuzzy stuff to. My cute ribbon is just more felt. Wow I'm ghetto.
